Sharing
Hello~
I write in a little pink lined journal about every project I’m working on. For me this brings a kind of magic to artwork- or at least my feelings about it. Within those pale pink pages are my thoughts, hopes, dreams, successes, and also my failures. This is my first time to ever share those sorts of things online. My eye critiques every flaw in the drawing and painting, yet, this is where I am. So it begins.

Daily Creating
I paint or sculpt every day now. Though this is new for me as I spend a lot of time mothering, teaching my youngest, and squeezing art into the edges. As a mother I’ve found that my sense of self and art have changed, it is now vital to me that I express, that I find some way to share who I am, what I am, and to let that change and grow in a natural way. It took several years to get to the point where I could not ignore my quest to create art anymore. Every day now I reach small personal victories. I create. I mother, I live, and plan the next drawing, painting, sculpture, or doll. When I pick up a pencil, paintbrush, or clay I feel frenetic energy and appreciation of each of those moments. These things keep me focused, make me appreciate these things help make me the artist I have always felt like I am meant to be. I have a LOT to learn, a lot to teach, and I look forward to both every single day.
